Module 3: Content Marketing Fundamentals

Learning Objectives
  • Explain the purpose of content marketing
  • Identify different content formats and when to use them
  • Build a simple content calendar

Content marketing means creating useful, relevant material -- blog posts, videos, infographics, podcasts -- to attract an audience rather than interrupting them with ads. Good content maps to the funnel: educational blog posts and videos build awareness, comparison guides and case studies support consideration, and testimonials or demos drive conversion. A content calendar -- a simple spreadsheet listing what to post, where, and when -- keeps output consistent, which matters more to algorithm visibility and audience trust than any single viral post. Repurposing one piece of content into multiple formats (a blog post becomes a carousel, a short video, and an email) is a practical way to produce more with limited time and budget.
